ROCKY HILL, CONN. (Feb. 10, 2023)–The Veterans of Foreign Wars Department of Connecticut has named VFW New Haven Post 12150 Commander Charles M. Pickett as an Honor Post Commander for the second consecutive year.

The Honor Post Commander program recognizes VFW Connecticut post commanders at three membership levels, who have the greatest percentage of their last year’s membership in their membership division, midway during the officer year.

VFW Connecticut Co-Membership Chairman Robert E. Bailey emailed the state usually has ten post commanders who qualify by the January 31 deadline, but only had two this year.

Commander Ted Turner from VFW Post 5095 in East Hampton (Division 6) and Commander Pickett (Division 9) will receive the etched Acrylic Crystal award at the VFW Department of Connecticut Convention at the awards banquet on June. 10.
