VFW CONNECTICUT BRINGS RECRUITING “A” TEAM TO DURHAM FAIR

DURHAM, CONN. (Sep. 28, 2025)– Department of Connecticut Veterans of Foreign Wars recruiters attended Military Appreciation Day of the largest agricultural fair in Connecticut.

The Durham Fair, an annual tradition in central Connecticut since 1916, has been hosting a Military Appreciation Day on the Sunday of the four-day event. All US active military and US veterans receive admission on Sunday and benefit from free or discounted promotions.

VFWCT6 hosts a Buddy Poppy distribution tent in a prime location at the fair, and invited Department recruiters to help man the booth.

Department Adjutant / Quartermaster Domenic Guiliano, Department Membership Chairman Stanley Borusiewicz Jr. worked with Jim Woodworth of VFW Post 10690 to distribute Poppies, greet visitors, and recruit war veterans to join the nation’s largest and most established war veterans service organization.
