NEW HAVEN, CONN.–Charles M. Pickett, commander of the New Haven VFW Post 12150 and American Legion Post 210, has filed paperwork with the VFW Department of Connecticut in preparation for a state-wide candidate announcement.

Pursuant to Article XVI, Section 1 of the Veterans of Foreign Wars of the United States Department of Connecticut Bylaws, Pickett submitted his Statement of Service to the Department Adjutant for verification of his eligibility. By VFW Connecticut bylaws, Pickett needed to submit prior to any announcement for Department Office in the Veterans of Foreign Wars.
