NEW LONDON, CONN. (FEB.17, 2023)—The Veterans of Foreign Wars Department of Connecticut District 4 has endorsed a Post-9/11 veteran for a state-level leadership position.

VFW District 4, covering New London and Windham counties, has endorsed VFW New Haven and District 2 Commander Charles M. Pickett to be the 2023 Department Junior Vice Commander. He was unanimously endorsed by the largest VFW district in Connecticut at the February 17, 2023 monthly meeting at VFW Post 189 in New London.

Pickett is now endorsed by 13 of 18 past department commanders and the two largest districts in the state as the campaign seeks to secure the nomination well before the June Department of Connecticut convention.
